The Portuguese government has signed today an agreement with Renault-Nissan addressed the marketing of electric vehicles zero-emission, for both the private sector both in the public sector. The aim is to create conditions to make electric cars cheaper in economic terms, so as to attract the sympathies of consumers.

Three are areas of intervention which will operate the Iberian country: the study (in collaboration with the Franco-Japanese group) of the local market and its demands in order to make the offer in terms more appropriate and the study of infrastructure and organization a network of recharging fittamente present on national territory; an awareness campaign on the theme of reducing emissions.

The widespread distribution of electric cars will only since 2011, and the country will lusitano for the first years (thanks to this initiative pilot) a global market leader for the ZEV. The agreement was signed in Lisbon by Prime Minister José Sócrates and the CEO of Renault-Nissan Carlos Ghosn, who has thus made important sign another blow to the future of the Group, at a distance of a few months by similar agreements with close Shai Agassi and the Israelis Project Better Place.
